Clinical Telehealth Internship

January 2026

Are you passionate about contributing to a queer- and trans-led organization dedicated to shaping the future of affirming mental health care?

Intern With Us!

Femme and Them, PLLC is a telehealth-only, insurance-based group practice dedicated to providing supportive and inclusive therapy services to LGBTQIA+ clients and their families throughout Washington State. We're thrilled to invite Master's-level Clinical Social Work & Counseling students to join our team! This internship offers an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in direct therapy while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative setting.

We are looking for someone eager to grow into an eclectic practitioner through learning from clients and self-study, with a focus on cultural humility, non-Western and/or decolonial perspectives, and respect for the lived experiences of the communities we serve. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate client-centered therapy for individuals, families, couples, polycules, and/or other non-traditional family systems. Success in this role requires strong critical thinking, self-direction, curiosity, a willingness to learn, medium technical proficiency, and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

  • Neurodivergent clients who deserve to be understood, not “fixed”

  • Trauma survivors reclaiming their narratives

  • Polyamorous, ethically non-monogamous, and kink communities

  • Perinatal Mental Health (PMH) clients navigating pregnancy, postpartum, loss, and parenting transitions

  • Transgender teens and adults across the lifespan

  • Medicaid and commercial insurance clients who may otherwise struggle to find affirming care in-network
