He/They

Meet Reece

You deserve a space where you don’t have to explain yourself before the real work begins.

I'm Reece (He/They), a queer therapist and artist. I work primarily with neurodivergent, transgender, nonbinary, and gender diverse teens and adults.

I bring both professional training and lived experience as a member of LGBTQIA+ community. I have had the experience of sitting in the client chair in spaces where I did not fit in. I know how exhausting it is to do the work of getting there, only to feel like you still have to translate yourself to be understood.

A creative approach to therapy that meets you where you are

Creativity is central to how I understand growth. Creative expression is any way that you can make sense of your experience, and imagine new possibilities for yourself and for the world around you. Let’s find ways for you to express yourself, strengthen confidence in your voice, and explore parts of yourself that do not always come through in words. No artistic skill or experience required. Curiosity is our entry point.

In session, I use visuals, metaphor, emotional dictionaries, and other tools that help put language to experiences that feel hard to describe. This approach is especially useful for people who process visually, who carry a lot, or who feel like traditional talk therapy has never quite reached what they are trying to express. I draw from ACT, Creative Interventions, Narrative Therapy, and Liberation Psychology, using flexible frameworks grounded in what fits your needs best.

Therapy that makes room for your unique ways of being

I don't believe healing follows a strict sequence or fits neatly into a model. This work is built around your values, not pathology or assumptions about what your process "should" look like. Many of the people I work with are navigating gender identity, queer relationships, and the ongoing process of becoming more fully themselves, while also moving through experiences such as complex PTSD (C-PTSD), anxiety, depression, and relational trauma. My role is to support you in making sense of your experience, identify what you need, build self-advocacy, and move toward something that feels more possible.

I work well with LGBTQ+ adults, people in polyamorous relationships, and those who have experienced therapy harm, institutional trauma, or systemic oppression, including those who feel distrustful of therapy itself. That skepticism makes sense. You do not have to leave it at the door.

Staying connected to the realities that shape your life

For trans, nonbinary, queer, and neurodivergent clients, we stay connected to the realities that shape your life socially, politically, and materially. We do not separate your internal experience from that context. We make space for conversations about gender, transition, and what it means to live more fully as yourself, while staying grounded in your present experience. This includes honoring queer and transgender resilience, while also recognizing the real conditions that impact safety, visibility, care, and possibility.
